    • Study Mentor/Partner

      A Study Mentor/Partner is someone who can encourage and support you as you navigate your studies. They are not academic tutors, so they won’t teach you specific academic skills or provide formal feedback. They are also not formation mentors (although they could do that role as well if you ask them), so they won’t guide you in spiritual or ministry formation. Instead, a Study Mentor/Partner is like a supportive companion who helps you stay on track and succeed in your learning journey.

      What a Study Mentor/Partner can do for you:

      • Encourage and motivate you academically;

      • Help you plan your study, set goals, and stay organised;

      • Support you in balancing study with work, ministry, and life;

      • Help with exam preparation and basic academic skills, like proofreading;

      • Keep you accountable for due dates and completing Units;

      • Let the College know if issues come up that might affect your study;

      • Pray with and for you about your studies;

      • Act as an exam supervisor for online units or exams taken off campus.

      Who might benefit from a Study Mentor/Partner:

      • Students starting online or full-time study;

      • Students new to tertiary study;

      • Students who have had difficulty in their studies;

      • Diploma students;

      • CALD and overseas students.

      A few things to know:

      • A Study Mentor/Partner is not expected to provide intensive academic support or spiritual guidance.

      • Study Mentor/Partners do not receive payment from Morling College. If you want to offer payment, it’s a private arrangement between you and your Study Partner.
