How to Use Perusall
Perusall is an online social learning tool, used in some Morling courses to help facilitate collaborative learning amongst students, through annotating text, video, and audio content.
To make a comment:

To reply to another student's comment or question: Other users' comments are shown as highlights on the thumbnail. To see the comment and/or reply, click on the highlighting. A reply comment box will appear. Type your reply and hit enter to publish. ![]() You have now started a 'conversation' and can choose to opt-in to be notified of updates to that conversation if you wish. You can also choose to STAR a comment, that you want to be able to easily refer back to at another time. To do this just click the star icon, under the original comment (and above the reply comment box. |
Helpful tools: The side toolbar contains some very helpful tools. You can use it to: see a list of all of your comments and conversations see the comments you have starred view scrolling thumbnails view the reading's table of contents (if one exists) search for terms search a word from the document in the dictionary generate a citation for the reading check your notifications (eg conversation updates) bookmark places in a reading and find them later make and find personal notes on the reading have the system read the screen aloud |
